ThornCreek Church is partnering with a church (Iglesia Del Nazareno) in Negritos, Peru. The goal is to build a relationship with this church and village of 17,000 residents, minister to them in practical ways, and love on them in the name of Jesus. The average home makes $150 per month. They need help with water, medical, construction, and many other ways, including child sponsorship. The first trip to Negritos, Peru is in July 2012. This partnership is facilitated through Compassion International which is a global ministry that lifts children out of poverty. ThornCreek is committing to sponsor AT LEAST 50 children from this village. During the month of February we will be "opening up the door" for child sponsorships, and give people an opportunity to sponsor a child for $38 per month. This will give a child a better life! This is also a way ThornCreek can have a monthly impact in this village. You will also be able to see your child in person in future mission trips with ThornCreek! During the month of February we are challenging ThornCreek Chuch to love on others outside the walls of the church building. On Saturday, February 11th ThornCreek is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build a home in Commerce City. We are looking for volunteers to serve one OR both days. It's up to you. All volunteers must commit to working the full day (9AM - 5PM) and be at least 16 years of age. Habitat for Humanity provides all the tools; however, volunteers are responsible for their own sack lunch. Click here to register.

Join us for a one day ice fishing adventure! We will be led by our own ThornCreek hunting and fishing "Guide"! He is going to lead us to a special place to catch some fish! Calling out all men, fathers and sons! We are taking a trip to Joplin, MO to help tornado victims.
Many families lost their homes and even loved ones to a F5 multiple-vortex tornado on May 22, 2011. The devastation was catastrophic and they are still rebuilding. We are going to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ! Bring your awesome attitudes and big hearts!
Each day we will help build homes, landscape, and do whatever else is needed. Additionally, each night we will be feeding 150 people, then we will do worship every night! We will be staying at a church in Joplin.
Plan on leaving early Wednesday morning and returning late Sunday night. The cost is $50/adult and $25/son (12 years and younger). The cost will cover transportation, accommodations, and lunch and dinner for each day in Joplin. It's a great deal!
