We love and value our kids! Our desire for every child is to see them begin and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that children can develop a relationship with God at a very young age. Our goal is to foster that faith as children grow, helping them to discover how the Bible is relevant for them today and how they can live that out day by day.

At ThornCreek Church, we desire that Children’s Ministry goes beyond the walls of our church building. Parents have the greatest influence in the lives of their children and their spiritual journey. The church is here to partner with families and offer guidance, assistance, and encouragement.

We firmly believe that these children can make a difference in this world, telling the future generations of God’s power and the wonders He has done in their life (Psalm 78:4).

We want our learning environment to be welcoming, fun, and relevant for each age group. We use different mediums in teaching – drama, video, crafts, games, play, music, service opportunities, and special programs – in order to most effectively minister to each child.

Every weekend, around fifty volunteers show up and work together in their unique role to minister to our kids and families. This ministry would not exist without the leadership and effectiveness of each volunteer. Also, every volunteer in our children’s ministry is background checked and trained to ensure the safety of your child.

Age groups:

Each class meets during all three service times, except for our Tweens (10:45 service ONLY)

6 weeks old – 2 years
3 years – PreK
Kindergarten – 1st Grade
2nd Grade – 4th Grade
Tweens (5th and 6th Grade)
