Let me introduce you to your partner church...

Today we had a chance to meet our partner church for the first time. They are located in Negritos, Peru. Several times...I wept.

Today was our first full day in Lima, Peru. Tomorrow we're flying to Negritos to see the church we're adopting, but let me tell you about today...

This morning God showed me one of those verses that has knocked the axis of my understanding Him off a few degrees. Maybe it will do the same for you.

We are habit oriented people...for better or worse!

There is rare land that exists that few people ever experience. It's a land that is marked by faith, obedience, and self denial. It's marked by tenacity, faithfulness, and perseverance. It's marked by God's favor.

Don't laugh. Just because you don't believe it or can't see it, doesn't mean it's impossible for God. Trust God's word.

Since coming back from our missions trip to Joplin, MO, I have been asked over and over, "what was it like?"

Let me put it this way. If you were a Joplin resident there would be three (3) things you would be keenly aware of:

We just completed five Easter Services over the weekend at ThornCreek Church (TC). We have been planning for these services for about six months. Literally, hundreds of hours have gone into this weekend. Video, kinetic typography, testimonies, backgrounds, set design, actors, worship songs, baptisms, and a message had been prepared. Then...the lights went on. We had hundreds of people pour into TC. The services flowed beautifully. Over a hundred made commitments to Jesus Christ, many of them for the first time. But something happened...
